Since moving to Morocco in 2015, Thierry Poitout has been a pioneer in the field of renewable energies, and more specifically in photovoltaic energy. As soon as he arrived, he devoted himself fully to his new life as a Moroccan entrepreneur, and quickly founded the company Solarmen, specialising in the turnkey installation of solar solutions for the residential, agricultural, hotel and industrial sectors.
Today, Solarmen has notable achievements throughout the kingdom, and thanks to its dedicated team of engineers and installers, the company has been able to provide its customers with quality services and branded products.
In 2020, in view of the solar potential available on Moroccan soil, the company SOLAR EXPORT MAROC was created, thus materialising the project to build an industrial unit of photovoltaic modules called “MAPower©” and assembly supports “Made in Morocco”, with a capacity of 200 to 300 Megawatt per year.
SOLAR EXPORT MAROC aims to promote and spread Moroccan know-how in terms of solar products and solutions within ECOWAS and Europe, to provide an efficient and 100% Moroccan response to bidders for public contracts and other projects within the framework of the industrial decarbonisation of VSEs and SMEs, and to contribute to the development of an ecosystem with local industries in Morocco and in Sub-Saharan Africa
The SOLAR EXPORT MAROC project is also supported by Marrakech Invest (the Regional Investment Centre of Marrakech-Safi), and it is worth mentioning the quality of the advice and support provided by Mr Yassine Mseffer and his team on a daily basis.
Also, aware of the importance of R&D and the need for a permanent innovation approach, a partnership with IRESEN and the GREEN ENERGY PARK has been concluded to conquer new markets.
It is in this context that a SOLAR EXPORT MAROC delegation was able to present its industrial project during a meeting in Rabat on 25 May 2022 with Mr Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy, and Mrs Afaf SAAIDI, Director of Aeronautical, Railway, Naval Industries and Renewable Energies at the Ministry.
At the end of this meeting, SOLAR EXPORT MAROC had the honour of obtaining the full support of the Minister for its industrial project, and the whole team behind the project is also very proud to see a very important milestone in the history of the company.
As we at Solar Export Maroc are used to saying: “The future is a tradition and energy is our future.
